A TRAINER IN A BOX
Since 1975, the Dyslexia Research Institute has addressed the learning needs of individuals with dyslexia, attention deficit disorders and related learning disabilities, by utilizing teaching methods based on rigorous field research. Developing this "Trainer in a Box" has been a collaborative effort between teachers, tutors, students and the development staff of Dyslexia Research Institute and Tallahassee Community College.
The Tool Kit leads tutors and students through interactive activities that teach study strategies using multisensorial techniques which have been proven to assist students with these learning issues become more effective learners.
The Tool Kit is appropriate for students transitioning from high school to post-secondary training, as well as students in a college or vocational training.
